Biography
The band was formed in the winter of 2001 by Didde Nilsson. In the beginning there were only three members: Jocke Nilsson (guitar), Didde Nilsson (bas, vocals) and Dennis Lindqvist (drums). Under that first year they released their first very experimental EP ”Svoboda”, and later the single ”Revolution Land” at Cyclone Music. That year they also performed at clubs in Stockholm and at the legendary rock club ”Pipeline” in Sundsvall. When the band in early 2002 decided to expand, Per Gradén and Magnus Hjort (bas and guitar) from the legendary Swedish punk band Human Error were the obvious choice. At that time when The Pushers carried out most of their live shows in Stockholm area, they started the recording of their second EP ”This is now!” In the beginning of 2004 when ”This is now!” was mixed and released, Per and Magnus decided to leave the band to get some more time for Human Error. Again The Pushers were a trio, but that didn’t not stop them from touring in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia . In the middle of summer 2004, the band travelled up to north of Sweden to record 2 new songs for their forthcoming EP ”Underdog”. At the same time, Dennis decided to leave the band and Peter Henriksson from the glam-rock band Gemini Five took his place. (Peter is the drummer for 3 tracks on ”Underdog”). In 2005, The Pushers (with Peter) carried out gigs in Norway and south Sweden, and the mixing of the ”Underdog” EP was finished. During the summer of 2005, Macke Eklund, an old friend to Jocke and Didde joined in the band and the circle was closed. Macke also joined the ”blitzkrieg tour” to Russia that year and he’s now a permanent member of The Pushers!

Unfortunately the ”Underdog” EP did never get into stores because Didde was arrested in 2007 and later sentenced to four years in prison after a knife fight in Stockholm city.
